Singing in the Rain

Next time I buy a house, I will wait until the hardest rain to drive by and see what the yard looks like. But then again, what fun would that be for the kids if we didn't have an occasional lake for them to play in? :o)

Who needs a pool when you have a lake?! Looks like fun!

My husband is a civil engineer and most of his work is redirecting storm water and protecting streams and stuff. He fixed two water issues in our yard so we don't have the standing water... maybe we could drive by your house sometime and he could give his professional advice? I bet you only need a swale (sp?) or a few pipes to fix it... what do you think??

Usually it drives me crazy the stuff he notices about yards retaining water, but I guess it can be very helpful!

Bethany =- please send him to the neighborhood, in front of our house - both ditches were full, the yards were full and the street was under water. Our yard STILL has standing water in it (three days later) the WHOLE NEIGHBORHOOD is like this :S
