Warning: Yes, I'm still having issues with aging. Yes, I will get over it eventually. No, I am not feeling sorry for myself...just making an observation.
Have you ever looked at an old picture of yourself...
(May 1997)
And then looked at a recent picture of yourself...
(November 2009)
And wondered...what exactly is it that makes us look older? Because when I look in the mirror, I still see the same Chrissy. My self-image in my mind must somehow distort what I actually look like. When I close my eyes, I still see 17-year-old Chrissy. She's cute. She's skinny. She's young!
Perhaps that's a good thing? I guess it's good that I still see myself that way. Maybe it gives me self confidence that I would otherwise not have.
Who do you see when you close your eyes and think of yourself?
This doesn't count if you're one of my younger readers...ahem...Mindy! ;o)

I use to know....but I dont know anymore...
Hmmm... when I close my eyes, I still see 22 year old Bethany, freshly married and degree'd. Its always a HUGE shock for me to seee photos of myself now when I don't have the same posture or thin arms!
PS I am jealous you knew your husband five years before I knew mine! You have five more years of photos, memories, and kisses.
I see the 18 year old me. :-)
Haha! But I have recently noticed that Ryan and I look younger in pictures from 3-4 years ago and was actually trying to figure out WHY too... I think I figured out it's my face.. it's hard to describe.. it looks fatter then and now it has more lines when I smile.. umm okay, that was really bad description. But anyway...
Based on these comments, I guess I better soak in and enjoy my 21-year-old looks right now... lol
Aging is scary!
Chrissy, I still think you look like I remember you in high school. Dare I say, even better. I don't know what it is. You seem more confident, more mature (but not in an "old" way, in a "I've accepted who God says I am and love what He has chosen for me" way). I don't know, Chrissy, but I definitely think you've aged in a way that makes the rest of us a tad bit jealous.
I think you look more beautiful now than you ever have (minus our wedding day)
