Our Little Town Needs Prayer

I barely have words today.

Our community is going through so much.

Usually I try to be vague as to what town I live in.

But you saw us on the news yesterday.

Yes, we know everyone interviewed on this video from The Today Show.

It is my husband's school district.

Please pray.

I am not skilled to understand
What God has willed, what God has planned
I only know at His right hand
Stands one who is my Savior

Its hard to be away from your hometown when something like this happens. I just feel the need to be there.

I have had many quiet times with God since yesterday morning. Although we have no way of determining God's timing, I find comfort in the fact that He is omniscient, and always has a plan.
We are so blessed to live in such a tight knit community. I was so filled with pride when I watched the news and they made it very clear that the only way we will get through this is with prayer and fellowship, just the way it should be. It was so amazing to me to see so many from town come together and pray and sing Amazing Grace AT THE SCHOOL!
My heart is still hurting for everyone involved. Lord please be with them and lay Your healing hands upon them both physically and emotionally and provide the ultimate healing that can only come from You!

When I watched the video, I was amazed that more students weren't more seriously hurt. My eyes filled with tears. Your poem in closing says it all. He is there with you all and He cares more than you can even imagine. Praying for peace, love and strength for you and your friends.

Oh, Chrissy. We do not have cables, so I had not seen this. Please know that I am praying for your town, and all of the hurting families right now.

I'm very sorry to hear about this. Its actually the first I had heard of it. Not much of a television news watcher. I will be praying for your town & the people hurting.
On a lighter note, I'm stopping by from New Freind Friday. I loved your post on your six year old boy b/c I have one myself. Six year old boys are fun, comical and yet annoying at times. But, you just gotta love 'em!
